Tips to Prepare for 3MT@UBC

The first heats of UBC’s 2012 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) completion will be starting up next week, so if you are one of the brave graduate students stepping up to the challenge you are probably practicing and preparing for your 3 minutes in the spotlight.

To help you with your preparation, and to encourage you last minute fence-sitters to take the plunge and register, UBC graduate student Carolina Chanis as written about her experience in last year’s competition on her blog.  She lists some great tips to help this year’s contestants prepare. Carolina won the Faculty of Forestry heat and went on to compete in the campus wide semi-final round.  We encourage you to take advantage of her experience and check out her blog post on 3MT@UBC preparation: http://like-a-honey-badger.blogspot.com/2012/01/some-tips-to-prepare-for-3mt.html

Registration for 3MT@UBC has been extended through February 3, 2012.
